On your voyage across the Sound, relax with a drink in our cozy Steamboat Lounge; go topside and soak up some sun and the sea breeze or check out our snack bar. Once we dock in Bridgeport, Connecticut, you will be met by motor coach and travel to the destination.

July

7/12 – Hill-Stead House and Homes of Mark Twain & Harriet Beecher Stowe - $85pp This is what awaits you at Hill-Stead Museum: imagine spending an afternoon in an architecture treasure surrounded by Impressionist paintings, Ming vases, Japanese prints and classic American furnishings. Then picture yourself in the tranquility of a sunken garden, sitting on a Mount Vernon-style veranda overlooking the Berkshire foothills. You end your visit by browsing through a gift-shop filled with books, posters, apparel, and decorative items – memorabilia of an unforgettable visit. Next, tour the house where modern American Literature was born: Mark Twain’s warm family residence. Then, visit Harriet Beecher Stowe’s charming home right next door.

7/19 – Essex Steam Train & Riverboat Ride and Griswold Inn - $95pp Ride an authentic 1920’s Steam Train locomotive and then board the riverboat paddle-wheeler for a one-hour narrated cruise along the Connecticut River! Everyone dines at the Historic Griswold Inn, included.

7/19 – America’s Yarn Store: WEBS - $60pp Calling All Knitters, Weavers, and Spinners! We are off to one of the premiere yarn stores in the country located in Northampton – a city in the picturesque Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. Bring your patterns and questions, start that new sweater, or buy the yarn for your new shawl. Indulge in yarn! Then discover charming Main Street and find out why the residents say “Welcome to Paradise!” Lunch is on your own.

August

8/2 – Newport Mansions: Elms/Newport On Your Own - $80pp/$60pp The Elms was the summer residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind of Philadelphia and New York. He made his fortune in the Pennsylvania coal industry. The house is modeled after the mid-18th century French Chateau d’Asnieres outside Paris. You have time to enjoy the elaborate classical Revival Gardens on the grounds developed in 1907. The gardens include terraces displaying marble and bronze sculpture, a park of fine specimen trees, and a lavish lower garden featuring marble pavilions, fountains, a sunken garden and carriage house and garage – all recently restored. Afterwards, you have time in town on your own for lunch and shopping.

8/3 – Tanglewood - $95pp Enjoy the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgeos, conductor, with Augustin Hadelich on the violin as they preform Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven on this beautiful Lenox Estate called Tanglewood – after a Nathaniel Hawthorne novel. Reserved shed seating for your comfort, many lunch options for your appetite, music for your soul. You will have time to stroll the grounds and people watch. Trip includes concert seat, lunch is on your own.

8/9 – Route 7 Antiquing, Massachusetts - $65pp Scout out treasures along famed Route 7. We will begin in Connecticut, then travel north to Massachusetts, stopping at junk barns, antique shops, Sheffield Pottery, and finally time for lunch in Great Barrington – where Main Street offers even more finds! It’s better in the Berkshires!

8/10 – Renaissance Faire - $65pp The Faire is a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England complete with 16th century games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music and dance set within the majestic groves of Sterling Forest in Tuxedo Park, NY. All “manor” of medieval fun awaits you!

8/16 – Lake Compounce - $75pp adults, $65pp seniors & children. We are off to Connecticut’s premier fun-filled theme park! It is the oldest amusement park in North America operating since 1846! You haven’t been to a theme park until you’ve experienced this one. They have invested millions recently and offer exciting rides like Bolder Dash – voted #1 wooden rollercoaster in the WORLD! 8/23 thru 8/25 – Cape Cod Overnight - $500pp double, $470pp triple, $450pp quad, $600 single “We are tied to the ocean, and when we go back to the sea – whether it is to sail or to watch, we are going back from whence we came” – JFK. Come to Cape Cod’s natural beauty. Visit countless historic sites, each telling the role that Cape Cod has played in American History. 9/13 – Big E - $65pp/$55pp children North America’s largest fair! A real country-time event with rides, animals, live concerts, and food, food, food! Fun! Fun! Fun!

9/20 – The Beekman Arms & Olana - $95pp The estate of Hudson River School Frederic Church is a unique work of art incorporating landscape design, breathtaking views and exotic architecture. Visitors touring this majestic landmark will be led on a journey through time, seeing a remarkably preserved home complete with much of the original furniture. World class paintings from Church’s private collection grace the walls of this beautiful mansion. The landscape was a labor of love that took him over 40 years of his life to create, and many consider it his greatest work. Acres and acres of an artist designed property that can be enjoyed in the form of a 15 minute walk to one of over 2 hours – if one walks the entire carriage drive system. You will learn the story of Church’s life and how he came to build this Persian masterpiece overlooking the Hudson River. We will then have lunch in the historic village of Rhinebeck at the Beekman Arms – American’s oldest operating Inn. The day is sure to leave you with wonderful memories, inspiration, and reflections!

9/28 – Essex Shopping & Gillette Castle - $55pp Tour the hilltop medieval Gillette Castle situated on a 104 acre estate, offering breathtaking views of the Connecticut River. Then, spend the afternoon strolling, shopping, visiting the maritime museum, and dining in charming Essex, CT. this is a great day for getting together with friends! 10/4 – Florence Griswold Museum - $65pp Visit the foremost collection of American Impressionism in a uniquely Connecticut home. Walk the grounds of Childe Hassam’s beloved painting spot, tour Florence’s home, walk next door and view more arts at the Lyme Art Association – supporting professional and developing artists. On view will be the New England Landscapes Exhibition. Lunch is on your own at your choice of two charming historic inns. A vital chapter in American art. Bring your sketchpad!

10/11 – Sleepy Hollow Blaze & Tarrytown On Your Own - $65pp/$50pp children The Halloween Spirit abounds here in the Hudson Valley’s biggest, most exciting Halloween season event. First, we drop you off in Tarrytown for lunch on your own and shopping. At the Blaze, over 4,000 individually hand-carved pumpkins are all aglow as you meander through an 18th century riverside landscape. Be amazed and thrilled to see super-sized dinosaurs, a mammoth exhibition of mummies, and a pyramid – all completely constructed of pumpkins!

10/18 – Boston Hop-On/Hop-Off Trolley or Boston On Your Own - $90pp/$60pp On Own Boston’s best sight-seeing tour! 10/19 – New York State Sheep & Wool Festival - $65pp Held at Dutchess County fairgrounds, this is the premier festival for wool lovers! Fleece sales, demonstrations, artwork contests, cooking projects, shows, books, children’s activities and so much more! And if you would like to come along but don’t fancy wool, how about visiting the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome museum featuring aero planes, automobiles, motorcycles, and memorabilia from 1900-1935. What a great day out we have planned for all!

10/19 thru 10/20 – Salem Overnight - $280pp double, $250 triple, $330 single Enjoy Salem like never before! Stay in town at the landmark Hawthorne Hotel, visit the House of Seven Gables, dine at the harbor-front Finz Restaurant, enjoy a trolley tour of the town, and visit the ever-popular Witch Museum. 10/25 – Norman Rockwell & Red Lion Inn - $95pp Norman “ROCKS” and the Red Lion “ROARS”. A delicious lunch is included at the Historic Red Lion Inn. Stroll the lane in Stockbridge, MA then visit the Norman Rockwell Museum. Return of a Fall favorite!

November

11/1 – Mohonk Mountain House Day Trip - $110pp/$120pp with Carriage Ride Experience this beautiful mountain top resort, named one of “America’s Castles” for a day of adventure and culinary delights. Schedule a spa treatment, hike, take a carriage ride, soak in the spectacular views as you sit on the porch in a relaxing rocking chair or by one of the fireplaces. The superb lunch is included. This is truly a special day. There is a limited number of carriage rides available, so book yours ASAP! First come, first served.

11/1 – New England Fiber Festival - $60pp. Demonstrations, shopping, fashion shows and ongoing vendor exhibits throughout the day! Fun for the whole family or just you! Lunch is on your own. Located in Springfield, MA.

11/8 – Yankee Candle, Cracker Barrel & Christmas Tree Shop - $65pp Join us for a shopping fay extravaganza! We put the bus on the ferry; you load it up with all your goodies. Refuel at the comfy Cracker Barrel – their old time gift shop will bring back memories of your past and it’s all for sale too. Lunch is on your own.

December

12/6 – Newport Holiday/Newport On Your Own - $80pp/$60pp Celebrate the Holiday Season in America’s First Resort. Before our tour of Marble House and The Breakers, both resplendent in their Christmas finery, enjoy lunch or shopping in this quaint seaport town.

12/7 – Norman Rockwell & Stockbridge - $90pp Stockbridge is stamped with its own beauty and charm; flower filled lushness in the summer and spring; a stunning fall foliage palette; the winter look of an old-fashioned Christmas card. Take a deep breath, inhale the Berkshire Mountain air and slow your pace for the day. Stockbridge recreates Norman Rockwell’s painting of their Main Street – complete with vintage automobiles! Your day includes lunch at the Cork N’ Hearth and a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Booking Tours: Day - At the time of booking your tour, a deposit of ½ the package cost is due. Total must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure date. Contact our Tour Department at 631-473-6282 or 631-473-5138 8:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday thru Friday to book your tour today.

Booking Tours: Overnight - At the time of booking your tour, a $100.00 deposit is due. Total must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure date. Contact our Tour Department at 631-473-6282 or 631-473-5138 8:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday thru Friday to book your tour today.

Our Cancellation Policy on Day Tours: If you cancel 30 days prior to tour date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel thereafter, a refund will not be given unless your seat is resold.

Our Cancellation Policy on Overnight Tours: If you cancel 30 days prior to tour date, you will receive 50% of the required deposit ($100.00) + any monies paid. If you cancel within the penalty period, fees are as follows:
Less than 30 days to 14 days prior—50% of the total tour cost.
Less than 14 days prior—100% tour cost.
