Attention Passengers

We trust that making the ferry an integral part of your travel plans will add to your enjoyment of the many educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities found on both sides of Long Island Sound.

The ferry company has a streamlined ticketing procedures and we offer the following tips to help you become familiar with our ticketing system to help make riding the ferry easier on your next trip:

·         You are no longer “reserving” a spot for a car and driver – you are buying a ticket for the car and driver and all passengers to board for that date and time.

·         All Passengers must have a ticket with a BAR CODE (multiple passengers can be on one BAR CODE) to board the vessel .

·         WEB Portal - If you buy your ticket through our web we recommend the following:

o   Include all passengers so you don’t have to buy them tickets when you arrive.

o   Your ticket with a BAR CODE is EMAILED to you.

o   Please have it available for scanning when you arrive at the terminal.

o   If you did not receive an email check your local junk or spam filter.

·         Call Center – We have received a heavier volume of calls than anticipated but the wait time has been drastically reduced since the long weekend.

o   Include all passengers so you don’t have to buy them tickets when you arrive.

o   Your ticket with a BAR CODE is EMAILED to you.

o   Please have it available for scanning when you arrive at the terminal.

o   If you did not receive an email check your local junk or spam filter.

·         Walk on Passengers – Every passenger must have a BAR CODED ticket before they board.  Tickets can be purchased at each Terminal building.
